Lokalizacja hotelu: Bariera czy korzyść?
Na co w pierwszej kolejności zwracasz uwagę rezerwując hotel w jakiejś lokalizacji? Na cenę? Na udogodnienia? A może na lokalizację? Okazuje się, że ten ostatni aspekt jest jednym z najważniejszych czynników decydujących o wyborze noclegu. Planujesz pobyt, to w pierwszej kolejności sprawdzasz gdzie będziesz spać - tak to działa, przynamjniej tak mówią mądrzejsi od nas. Oczywiście wszystko zależy od celu podróży, bo innymi kategoriami kierujemy się podczas podróży z dziećmi na wypoczynek, jeszcze innymi gdy planujemy wypad z paczką znajomych, a zupełnie innymi gdy np. firma wysyła nas w delegację.
Na wybór lokalizacji hotelu ma również wpływ środek transportu jakim podróżujemy. Jeśli do punktu docelowego docieramy pociągiem, to z pewnością bedziemy szukali noclegu blisko stacji docelowej tak, aby podczas wyjazdu mieć komfort krótkiego dotarcia do tego środka transportu. Jeśli mamy swój samochód bliskość centrum nie ma już takiego wielkiego znaczenia. Wręcz przeciwnie: często wybieramy bardziej atrakcyjne lokalizacje z dala od zgiełku i hałasu zatoczonych miejsc. Żyjemy przecieże w erze taksówek, uberów i świetnie zorganizowanej komunikacji miejskiej. Pokój w samym rynku nie jest już tak kuszący jak kiedyś.
Odpowiedzmy sobie zatem na kluczowe pytanie: czy mały hotel miejski ma szanse zaistnieć będąc zlokalizownym prawie 3 kilometry od centrum? O ile w dużej aglomeracji to wciąż ścisłe centrum, o tyle w Ostrowie Wielkopolskim zdecydowanie bliżej z hotelu do granic miasta niż do rynku. Uważam, że dzięki tej lokalizacji jesteśmy bardziej dostępni komunikacyjnie. Dlaczego? Choćby dlatego, że łatwiej do nas dotrzeć z głównych tras krajowych i wojewódzkich. W naszym przypadku to bardzo łatwy dojazd z obwodnicy Ostrowa w ciągu drogi S11, drogi krajowej nr 25 czy 36. Nasza lokalizacja pozwoliła nam również na stworzenie bardzo przestronnego darmowego parkingu tuż przy hotelu. Często obiekty w ścisłym centrum mają problem z miejscami parkingowymi dla swoich klientów. Zdarza się, że za parking kilkaset metrów od hotelu trzeba słono zapłacić. Czy Wy też bardzo lubicie krążyć po mieście i szukać luki, aby zaparkować swój pojazd będą po całym dniu ciężkiej pracy? Pytanie retoryczne. 95% naszych gości podróżuje autami, w większości są to pobyty służbowe. Podczas podróży służbowej zaoszczędzony czas oraz brak dodatkowych problemów jest na wagę złota. W końcu chodzi o to, aby spokojnie przespać noc i ruszyć dalej.
Dzięki lokalizacji poza ścisłym centrum nasi goście zmierzający do hotelu omijają zakorkowane główne arterie miejskie. A co jeśli chcą jednak zobaczyć jak wygląda centrum Ostrowa? Podjechać na zakupy do Galerii Ostrovia, iść na seans filmu do Kina Komeda czy po prostu zjeść dobry posiłek w klimatycznym ostrowskim ryneczku? Nic prostszego: personel może zamówić na życzenie taksówkę. Cena za kurs nie przekroczy 20,00 zł. Ostrowskie lokale gastronomiczne są chwalone w całej Polsce, dobre słowo można było usłyszeć w jednym z programów z ust samej Magdy Gessler. Być w Ostrowie i zmarnować szansę na spotkanie z wyśmienitą kuchnią to prawdziwy grzech.
Kolejny plus: jesteśmy z dala od zgiełku głośnego centrum szczególnie podczas weekendów. Omijają nas „imprezowicze” wracający nad ranem z okolicznych klubów. Kontynuując temat weekendowych pobytów jesteśmy daleko, a jednak blisko terenów rekreacyjnych ośrodka Piaski Szczygliczka, gdzie często odbywają się różne wydarzenia kulturalne i muzyczne. Jeśli wybierzemy się tam samchodem, to musimy zjechać pół miasta. Na nogach dojdziemy tam w kilkanaście minut. Wokoło stawu są utwardzone ścieżki do jazdy na rowerze, rolkach, do biegania czy nordic walkingu. Jeśli pozwala na to pogoda warto skorzystać z tej szansy na aktywny wypoczynek.
Z dala od centrum miasta oznacza blisko do centrów handlowych. Blisko Hotelu Platan znajdują się: supermarket Dino (vis-a-vis), supermarket Intermarche (5 minut na nogach) oraz elektromarket Bricomarche, a także supermarket Lidl (6 minut pieszo).
I wreszcie: przecież z pustym bakiem nie pojedziesz w trasę. Wyjeżdżając z parkingu hotelowego wjeżdżasz na stację benzynową „Orlen”. Doceń to udogodnienie. W centrum miasta nie ma tak wielu stacji benzynowych.
Wybór należy oczywiście do Ciebie, ale przemyśl wszystkie „za” i „przeciw”, a okaże się, że lokalizacja hotelu 3 kilometry od centrum Ostrowa to nie bariera, a korzyść.

Hotel location: Barrier or benefit?
What do you pay attention to when booking a hotel in a location? For the price? For amenities? Or maybe the location? It turns out that the last aspect is one of the most important factors determining the choice of accommodation. Planning a stay, first of all you check where you will sleep - this is how it works, at least that is what they say wiser than us. Of course, everything depends on the purpose of travel, because other categories are guided when traveling with children for rest, yet others when we are planning a trip with a pack of friends, and completely different when e.g. the company sends us on a delegation.
The choice of hotel location is also affected by the means of transport we travel. If we reach the destination by train, we will certainly be looking for accommodation near the destination station so that during departure we have the convenience of short access to this means of transport. If we have our own car, the proximity to the center is not so important. Quite the opposite: we often choose more attractive locations away from the noise and noise of crowded places. We live in an era of taxis, uber and well-organized public transport. Peace in the market square is no longer as tempting as it used to be.
Let us answer the key question: does a small city hotel have a chance of being located almost 3 kilometers from the center? While in a large agglomeration it is still the center, in Ostrów Wielkopolski definitely closer from the hotel to the city limits than to the market. I believe that thanks to this location we are more accessible by communication. Why? At least because it is easier to reach us from the main national and provincial routes. In our case, it is very easy to reach from the Ostrów ring road along the S11 road, national road No. 25 or 36. Our location also allowed us to create a very spacious free car park right next to the hotel. Often, facilities in the center have a problem with parking spaces for their clients. Sometimes, you have to pay dearly for parking a few hundred meters from the hotel. Do you also like to cruising around the city and looking for a gap to park your vehicle after a hard day's work? Rhetorical question. 95% of our guests travel by car, most of them are business stays. During a business trip, time saved and no additional problems are at a premium. In the end, it's about calmly sleeping through the night and moving on.
Thanks to the location outside the city center, our guests heading to the hotel bypass the traffic jammed main city thoroughfares. And what if they want to see what the center of Ostrów looks like? Go shopping at Galeria Ostrovia, go to a movie screening at the Komeda Cinema or just eat a good meal in the atmospheric Ostrów market square? Nothing simpler: the staff can order a taxi on request. The price for the course will not exceed PLN 20.00. Gastronomy restaurants in Ostrów are praised all over Poland, a good word could be heard in one of the programs from Magda Gessler's own mouth. Being in Ostrów and wasting a chance to meet delicious cuisine is a real sin.
Another plus: we are away from the hustle and bustle of the noisy center especially during weekends. We are bypassed by "party people" returning from the clubs in the morning. Continuing the topic of weekend stays we are far away, yet close to the recreation areas of the Piaski Szczygliczka resort, where various cultural and musical events often take place. If we go there by car, we must go halfway through the city. We'll be there in a few minutes. Around the pond there are paved paths for cycling, inline skating, running or Nordic walking. If the weather permits, you should take advantage of this opportunity for active leisure.
Away from the city center means close to shopping centers. Near the Platan Hotel there are: Dino supermarket (vis-a-vis), Intermarche supermarket (5 minutes on foot) and the Bricomarche electromarket, as well as Lidl supermarket (6 minutes on foot).
And finally: you won't go on tour with an empty tank. Leaving the hotel parking lot you enter the "Orlen" petrol station. Appreciate this convenience. There are not so many gas stations in the city center.
Of course, the choice is yours, but think all the pros and cons, and it turns out that the location of the hotel 3 kilometers from the center of Ostrów is not a barrier, but an advantage.
